Cookie Policy

A short, honest list of what Diamond Play stores in your browser, and why.

1. What are cookies and local storage?

Cookies are small text files a website saves in your browser. Local storage and session storage work in a similar way: they let a site remember information on your device, either until you clear it (local storage) or until you close the tab (session storage). In this policy we call all of these “cookies” for simplicity.

2. Our approach

Diamond Play only uses essential and preference storage. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking or third-party analytics cookies. The advertisements you hear on the free plan are played by Diamond Play itself, and are not delivered by an ad network that tracks you across the web.

Because these items are needed to run the service you asked for, they do not require a consent banner. If we ever add optional cookies, such as analytics, we will ask for your permission first and update this page.

3. What we use

NameTypePurposeDuration
dp_tokenCookie (first-party, essential)Keeps you signed in and lets us protect pages that need an account, such as your dashboard.Up to 30 days
dp_tokenLocal storage (essential)Holds your session token so the app can make requests on your behalf.Until you sign out or clear data
dp_userLocal storage (essential)Saves a copy of basic profile details (such as your name, plan and avatar) so pages load quickly.Until you sign out or clear data
dp_accent_colorLocal storage (preference)Remembers the colour theme you picked.Until you clear data
dp_auth_intentSession storage (essential)Remembers that you chose “create account” when you were sent to the sign-in page.Until you close the tab
dp_share_trackSession storage (essential)Passes a shared track to the app when you open a share link.Until you close the tab

Our cookie is first-party only, set on www.diamondplay.name.ng, and uses the SameSite=Lax setting to limit cross-site use.

4. Third-party content

Some resources load from other companies, such as fonts from Google Fonts and Fontshare, and images and audio from Cloudinary. We do not set cookies through them, but your browser contacts their servers to fetch the files, so they receive technical information such as your IP address. See our Privacy Policy for details.

5. Managing cookies

  • Sign out of Diamond Play to remove your sign-in cookie and stored session details.
  • Use your browser settings to view, block or delete cookies and site data. Instructions are available in your browser's help pages.
  • Clear site data for diamondplay.name.ng to remove everything listed above.

Blocking essential cookies and storage will stop sign-in from working, so you will not be able to use features that need an account, such as your library, playlists and history.

6. Changes to this policy

If we change how we use cookies, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change needs your consent, we will ask for it before it applies.
